Creating Custom Error Pages

You might have come across “page not found” message while surfing the web. There are hardly any other options left once you are left dumped on this page. This leads your visitors to move onto other sites. This is exactly what you need to avoid. In case if the users on your website get hit on such pages, then it would be ideal to create some error pages, so as to keep them on your site. Create an .htaccess file on the server and then edit it accordingly. Ensure that the error number is not displayed to the visitors and you may re-direct it to the home page or to any other link on your site.
